Terminology
- Semestral topic / semestrálna téma
- Theme that is supposed to inspire students' artwork for that semester. We usually have guests and lectures related to the topic.
- The Joker / Žolík
- Once during your study, you can decide to chose a topic of your own, if you do not like the semestral topic.
- Stand-up
- Short format presentation (around 3-5 minutes) where you present your progress from the previous week; usually happens during Tuesday studio meetings. Don't be scared to show incomplete work in progress. We all do it.
- Checkpoint
- Bigger presentation presented in pecha kucha format where you present your progress and work of the previous section of the semester; your research, prototypes, experiments, achievements, plans for the next section of the semester.
- Pecha Kucha
- Automated format of presentation, where you present (in our case) 10 slides and you have 20 seconds to present each; slides are either in form of png image, or if you feel like you need a video, you can upload mp4 that is max 20 seconds long (but there is a possibility of it glitching out)
- Defense
- The final presentation of your finished work.
- Prieskum / Inspection
- Public exhibition of student works. At the end of each semester, the school studios open to public for three days and we exhibit our semestral works. This is the biggest event of our semester.
